The bar was not necissarily the place Mark had intended to spend the night, but as he got caught up in something he was doing, he stayed anyway. That might explain, then, why there's a filmmaker in a t-shirt leaning over a AV machine, screening film of the bar. If you've been around for a while, there's a good chance that you might see yourself. It's also likely that the film shows either Angel, a potted plant, the lake, or stars. Take your pick.
