Snow is taking a rare night off and relaxing in the bar, reading a good book. A mug of hot chocolate rests in front of her.

She hasn't seen the sign yet.

[OOC:Apologies! Didn't catch this before I crashed last night. And they haven't met yet, no worries.]

Snow looks up. It's been a busy night.

"What is it?"

"I heard about your fund to help those who need assiatnce with tabs. I would like to make a donation, if I may."

His voice is low and raspy.

She smiles and stands.

"Wonderful. Shall we see Bar about it?"

"Is that how it is done? Whatever is the procedure. I am merely in possession of funds and wish to help as I can."

He nods to her.

Snow walks over to Bar and rests a hand on her surface.

"Bar? There's a donation to be made to Joe's fund by. . ."

She turns to Magius.

"I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name. . ."

"My name is Magius, but can the donation be listed as anonymous? I merely wish to help, not seek gratitude for it. I like to live simply."

He reaches into a pocket and pulls out a large pouch, whose strings he opens. He looks into it then nods.

"This is the one."

He hands it to Snow. It is full to the brim with diamonds, saphires and rubies, legacy of a long ago raid on a Dragon's hoard.

Snow accepts the pouch and gives it to Bar.

"It's not a problem. Aside from Joe, who had the initial idea, there hasn't been any recognition of donors. Bar knows, and that's all that is really needed."

He nods.

"Thank you. IT is good of you to run this. There are many who seem to come here all unprepared."

"I've greeted more than a few of them when they first arrive, and I know that very few have any chance to prepare. Those that aren't Bound do have options, but the rest? I'm just glad to do what I can."

Magius noids.

"Well, thank you for allowing me to feel like I can do something to help. I am a wizard and on my homewo4rld was used to helping people out a great deal. Here, I find myself not wanting to ah, step on toes, I believe the phrase is? So I hold back more often then not. It feels good to be able to help, however little."

"There are many who prefer to be given the chance to take care of themselves; it's a matter of letting them handle things on their own when they can, stepping in when they can't, and being able to tell the difference."

Magius nods, smiling slightly.

"I am yet... not so good at such. I had not spent much time around people before coming here to Milliways. Thus my , ah... social skills? yes. My social skills are somewhat rusty. I think."

"There are a few cases like that; you seem to be doing well enough. But the finer social details are hard to pick up on, unless you've had practice."

He nods.

"This is why I try to spend some time down here of an evening. I want to know..."

He stops and then starts again.

"Before I came here, I truly didnt even think about it, but coming here and being around people awoke a desire to know and to understand people, as much or more than my desire to learn magic. For me, it is sometimes odd to realize how little I understand of those around me compared to the mysteries of magic and time. It is, at times, terrifying... and yet...."

he smiles a quick honest grin.

"...it is wonderful."

"I know the feeling all too well. Before I came here, I tended to avoid social situations beyond what I had to deal with through my job. I could stop a revolution with literally nothing to work with but the clothes on my back and what I could find along the way or organize a battle with only twenty-four hours' notice, but you practically had to drag me to go out and relax in a social setting."
