Andrei looks up from his ever-so fascinating hands and tilts his little head, confused at the newperson. Then he notices the smile, returns with one of his own, and flails his arms at her, babbling happily.

"Oi, you. What's got you--"

He look up and notices Penny.

"Oh. Hello, miss."

well, i walked in with my suitcase and met a guy and was shcked up before I could really say much. So, I understand.

"Good enough as mine," he says truthfully, "there was a girl who came in, couldn't take care of him, and ended up handing him off to my best friend, Dick. Goes by Richard to most, Richard Mayhew, but I've always called him Dick since day one. I started helping and then things happening as they may...well, yeah, he's mine."

He grins down at Andrei.

...he'll take that compliment as opposed to deferring it to Aeryn. Things are getting better between them, but they're not that good.

He laughs quietly, since Andrei's settled down and heading for nap time soon enough besides.
