Nick has never been an obtrusive person, so it's likely he wasn't noticed as he came down the stairs into the bar, and now that he is sitting by the observation window, his pad of paper and pencil pushed to one side, elbows on the table and clasped hands up to his mouth, he is still not particularly noteworthy.
