Barry is seating away from the crowds. It's been rough, this past week, trying to deal with his departure, with Sara's feelings about it, with a Bar that he feels still needs him (even though it can do fine without him). He's eating macaroni and cheese for lunch, a sure sign he wants - needs - comfort food

*There's an Andrew passing by, looking a little pensive.*

"Andrew!" Barry calls the young vampire hunter over, havning not seen him in ages.

[stilljustandrew]

*Andrew's a Rogue Demon Hunter now.*

*If he can find any Rogue Demons.*

Hi, Barry! How've you been?

[silverageflash]

"I've been..." Barry pauses to get it right. "I have been okay, but the end is coming.

"I'm joining the Speed Force soon." He knows that Andrew will get. Heck, he thinks Andrew got it before he did, since Wally's comics are Andrew's time.

[stilljustandrew]

Oh.

*Andrew goes very sober, and a little pale. Yes, he knows what that means.*

[silverageflash]

"Yes. Probably in the next month of so. But it's letting me go on my own terms. There are worse things in life. Or death." Yes, it is getting, if not easier, at least less harsh, to face it.

"And how are you, Andrew? I haven't seen you since Meg's passing. How is she doing?" Ah, the strange questions you can only ask at Milliways.

[stilljustandrew]

*Andrew's nodding, soberly.*

*When Barry asks that last question, he blinks for a moment and then gives a small wry laugh.*

Hah. Yeah, she's ... doing okay. We're good.

[silverageflash]

"Yes, this place is so weird. I'm going to miss it. I hope." He smiles wryly back.

"Say hi for me."

[stilljustandrew]

I will.

*A short pause, then a bit hesitantly:*

Just, uh, I was wondering -- whatever became of that Security training program? I'm kind of, um ... I might be sort of between jobs for a while.

[silverageflash]

Barry thinks for a second. He hasn't forgotten, but he didn't think aobu tit too much, either, since Stephanie had left.

"You know, that is a very good question. Archie was supposed to be in charge, with Peter Pevensie's help. But nothing came of it.

"I should talk to Alanna before I leave. I was planning to, anyway. I apologize for not following up." Another thing to be concerned about in the security staff, he thinks.

[stilljustandrew]

*Andrew nods.* Maybe I'll talk to Alanna about it too.

*pause*

Do you, um ... do you know when you're ... going?

[silverageflash]

"In about a month. Time enough, I hope, to find Alanna or Bernard and get things going.

"If I call it a last request, that might help." Barry feels mildly cynical now. But when it comes to the police and bureacracy, even here, he gets that way.

"Can I ask what happened to your job, son?"

[stilljustandrew]

I, uh.

*Andrew looks away.*

I ... acted against orders. Based on evidence that my superiors decided was insufficient cause.

[silverageflash]

"Oh." That could mean anything, though Barry can't see Andrew, as capalble as he is, going against orders. The kid seems a little midl for that.

"What kind of job did you have?"

[stilljustandrew]

I was on the New Watchers' Council. And I got six Slayers involved in a battle that the Council had ordered us to stay out of.

*He looks back to Barry.*

To save the lives of some former allies.

[silverageflash]

"I heard about that battle. And got the sense that your team did well. Wouldn't that help your cause?

"And isn't Rupert a Watcher? He seems quite reasonable." Barry is definitely sympathetic. He's dones some difficult things to help his friends, too.
