The door opens, and the warm air that wafts in brings with it the enticing scent of plum puffs and balsam and there is the dim sound of dishes clattering in a kitchen until the door swings shut once more and Anne seats herself at a table, with a plate of plum puffs and russet apples

Tara catches a whiff of the plum puffs and apples on the air, sniffs, then breathes the scent in deeply. She turns and notices the girl sitting with them. She smiles at the girl, but is too shy to walk over and ask for one of the delicious looking goods on the plate.

Looking up from the book she has brought with her, Anne smiles warmly at the girl.

"Do you like plum puffs?" she asks. "I really brought far too many, and I was hoping to find someone to help me eat them."

[good_witch_tara]

"I actually haven't tried them before. But they smell delicious." Tara takes the warm smile as an invitation, walks over to the table, and holds out her hand "I'm Tara."

[avonlea_girl]

"Anne Shirley." Anne shakes Tara's hand cheerfully. "It's lovely to meet you--and please, try one."

She pushes the plate towards Tara encouragingly.

"It's nice to meet you too."

Tara takes a plum puff and bites into it. It's a little...different than what she's used to. But delicious nonetheless. She awkwardly chews, it's always a little awkward when you bite into something just as you're making introductions. She swallows.

"This is really good."

Anne beams.

"Oh, I'm so glad! I used to be an absolutely terrible baker, but I m glad to say those days are well behind me now."

[good_witch_tara]

Tara laughs a little, she can't help herself. "Where are you from, Anne? Is that Anne with an e?"

Anne looks absurdly happy at the question.

"As a matter of fact, it is," she laughs. "And I'm from Avonlea, Prince Edward Island."

[good_witch_tara]

"You seem like an Anne with an e. Prince Edward Island, I've never been there, but it's supposed to be beautiful. Is it?"

[avonlea_girl]

"The most beautiful place in the world," Anne says, loyally.

"You should certainly visit, if you have the chance."

[good_witch_tara]

"I hope I do. I'm from Southern California, which is a nice place. Nice beaches. But nowhere near the natural beauty of a place like Prince Edward."
