She should have had the courage to give back the pearls, the ring, the booze. But Clementine is led to temptation. She's venial.
She'll let all of this love go. Just because he called her the same name that every man she's ever turned a trick for has used.
Somewhere between the 'bitch' and the implication that he'd even want to fuck someone else after her finally sets her off - the anger erases everything, burns it to the ground and salts the ashes.An entire pitcher of beer happens to be sitting by her elbow one minute - and pouring over Sam's head the next.
Her ears are ringing. She remembers the way he feels under her hands; the scent of Hawaii, and the look on his face when he told her he loved her.
Men are full of shit. She'll always believe it now.

She's upstairs and gone before he can get the beer out of his eyes.
