Milliversary EP | Kate Barlow | Main Bar/table
Kate comes downstairs and approaches the Bar, looking tired and a little worn. Her hair is pleated, her typical cowboy hat left upstairs.
(The guns are still on her hips, and the boots still on her feet, of course.)
She's about to order supper and a stiff drink, turn around, and head back upstairs. But Miss Bar surprises her with a single chocolate cupcake, and a napkin which reads:
Happy Milliversary. :)
"...That ain't until tomorrow."
She knows that for a fact; it's not a date she's likely to forget. The candle, in the shape of a '3', flickers tauntingly. Kate had planned on hiding in her room all day tomorrow, entertaining nothing but a glass of whiskey and her memories. How Miss Bar could have known that is a mystery.
"That's it, then? No hullabaloo? No toys, or party favors?" she asks. "Jus' the one cupcake?"
There's a beat.
A fresh bottle of bourbon materializes next to the cupcake. Kate snorts.
"Jus' my kind of party."
