(no subject)
everyone's all flipping out about summer being almost over. i've been out for a month and 10 days, and i have a month left. meaning i still have half of summer left, right?
the kids i'm babysitting these two weeks are being remarkably good. and their mom is paying me extra for doing dishes, which i feel obligated to do because their kitchen is so dirty. it's the kinda dirty that i wash things before i eat out of them, otherwise i don't feel safe. and i don't eat anything out of the refrigerator.
i'm becoming a lake rat, according to my uncle. i spent the night there wednesday and then helped to teach some kids how to ski on thursday. friday i spent the night there and barefooted/skiied saturday morning, then had ski practice, then skiied with my friend maddie and then went to her house and spent last night.
she's almost 10 and she's really awesome. we went and had a cookout thing with another family in the ski club, and i was on a bike with a rope tied to it and the kids had a skateboard and some skates. i was the "boat" and they would ski or wakeboard on the rollerblades or skateboard. and i pulled them around the driveway. it was actually pretty fun. and then we did cartwheels. and practiced moves for ski club. and watched big fat liar. and then we got up this morning and went skiing again. and left there at 1 to go help make some costumes for the ski show and i'll be out there tomorrow for ski practice. i <3 skiing.
i wish i had a friend who was as serious about skiing as i am... everyone travels in twos, and i'm always alone.
o well.
btw, anyone interested in learning to ski or coming over one day to ski? my uncle said i could have some people over to his house and he'd take people skiing or teach them how to ski and whatnot. just wondering...
alrighty, i'm out. i'm SORE... i'm gonna go fall asleep in the hot tub or suttin.
