I enjoyed this; it's an unusual idea, not often developed in fic, and I like the wary tension between John and his daughter, the way that they interact as equals.

Great work, it's very realistic. I like this side of Sheppard, I always wondered about the circumstances of his marriage.

Wow, what a cool story. I don't read too many John's past related stories but this is absolutely awesome. I just kept picturing John in Letters from Pegasus, his expression when he said he didn't have anyone to send a video to, or maybe it's actually when he's making the video for Sumner, but whatever, it's a great expression and this story adds layers of meaning to it that just make me cringe in joyful angst. :) Ever since John let drop about being married I've wondered what people would come up with to deal with that addition to his character. I love that he managed to have another kid and not even know it, poor baby Jack. :( This story makes me hope for some future time when John and Tessa and Jack can have regular family visits... Keep on writing!
