I have relaunched my blog with new features. I'm pretty proud of it. Check it out:
http://caseyinpictures.blogspot.com My shoulder is getting worse. I went to see a spine specialist to try to get to the bottom of it. He spent less than 10 minutes with me -- clench your fists, raise your arms, bend forward -- before saying "You have to have an MRI." I tried to fight him on it, but in the end, that's what I got.
Today, I got a bill for his 10 minutes: $600.
My insurance will cover a lot of it, but no wonder people without insurance avoid getting better. And what if I hadn't met my deductible yet? It really is so frustrating that it makes me want to not try to get better.
Oh and that MRI? Came back negative. The bill hasn't arrived yet. Dr. Button said now he thinks I should go to a thoracic specialist. And how much will he cost? I don't think I'm ever going to get better.
