over at
hinabn_rate, which gives me confidence that I will adequately be able to hide my crazy in college. As long as I don't threaten to murder anyone and cook their organs into a racially-themed soup (which is a wee bit harder than it should be).
Speaking of which, I still don't leave for school until the 29th, and everyone I know has already left, leaving me all alone. I've been spending my days slowly packing, reading books, feeling like a lazy slob, and doing crunches and bits of yoga poses I remember in order to feel slightly less like a lazy slob. Supposedly I'll be getting info on my roommates next week (if I read the website correctly), so I'll be creeping on them for a while. I'm also finally learning how to use GIMP to paint digitally because I wanted to paint but didn't want to have to buy more supplies that I wouldn't use up and couldn't take with me to school. Now my sketches look slightly less hideous! Yaaaaay!
I also went to Target:
These are now my Dead Snow shoes. At first, I got an Inglorious Basterds vibe off of them. Then I thought that they'd be cool zombie apocalypse shoes. Put 'em all together and what do you get?
(I got so mad when I searched for a picture and found out that these also came with a gold-studded toe!)
I have a pair of shiny gold oxfords that I absolutely adore from Forever 21 that I've had to hot-glue the sole together but will never ever throw away because they're MUTHAFUCKIN' GOLD. These are a slightly more toned-down version of those. I was surprised at how pointy they were--they really look like men's shoes. Probably the closest I'll get day-to-day to wearing sneakers (I do actually own a pair of converse, but only wear them when trekking in mud or wearing something where a "I've just trudged through mud" look is ideal). Could also work for cosplaying (I've never legitimately cosplayed before, but about a third of my outfits are "inspired" in some way or another).
15 DAYS BEFORE I'M LEGAL!! SEXY, I KNOWRIGHT?!?!? For my birthday I'm...totally ignoring its existence, actually. Everyone's gone, so it's not like I can really party, and I'll be leaving for California a week and a half later (which is the real reason to celebrate). I'll probably be packing.
