My Uni results came through yesterday: I recieved a First Class Honours in my BA Creative Writing.*
Obviously, I'm absolutely delighted. A lot of hard work went into the last three years, especially my dissertation, and I'm thrilled to see it was worth it. I didn't think I'd ever enjoy uni - I had a lonely start, and was distraught when I failed my first essay. Now I've not only pulled through, but I've also been accepted onto the MA in Writing for Children (or in my case, young adults), which I can look forward to starting in October - when I'll also have my Graduation Ceremony.
It's also given me a bit more confidence to take on
Camp NaNoWriMo this month. I'lll be writing my science fiction story, Repa, which may or may not wind up as part of my dissertation next year. My username on there is MillieBee, so feel free to friend/track me and bully me into writing more!
Congratulations to everyone else who's got their results this summer, and good luck if you haven't yet!
*For those unfamiliar with UK university grades, this is the equivalent of an A+. There is no higher grade!
