Today was insane. Absolutely crazy.
Wednesdays are usually good days for me. a) I babysit the family of little girls on Wednesdays. Little girls that aren't crazy like the boys, and are younger, yet more mature. So, I like going to work on Wednesdays. But today, Jamie and TJ came over and they met the new loves of my life (aka Maddy, Virginia, and Renna) ... it was great. And then, the fun began. Family was in town, so I met up with them at Wild Wings (ugh) for dinner and ate my body mass in chicken, and afterwards, bought "A Very Long Engagement" at B&N. AHHHH. So, obviously, called a few, and we had an Audrey Tautou party. In my den. Until all hell broke loose.
To begin, some of you know this, but my cousin, Joseph, is living with us this summer because he's interning at an ad agency in Greenville. He goes to Carolina and lives in Columbia. He's the brother I never had. Ok, he had a REALLLLY bad night, he asks for his car keys through his watery eyes and flushed face, and he leaves. Without saying goodbye, without letting anyone know where he's going, just silently. While I'm on the phone. With whom you might ask? Well, a prank caller. Named Christina. She thinks I have a nice ass, and wants to put whip cream on it. She says she smoked up with me the other week, but oh, that's right, I DON'T FUCKING SMOKE UP. I just wanted to watch my damn movie, and of course, it didn't happen. The boy I was worried as hell about walked out of the house in delirium (I think that's a word) and Christina wouldn't leave me alone.
People were in a funk tonight, I sure as hell was, I took Jamie home, and went down to the Reedy River bridge. Bra-less. And in my pj's. I stayed within five feet of my car, but it was still the bridge at 1 a.m., and it was fun. I didn't have on shoes, and with my bare feet on that cool concrete, I realized how much I truly am going to miss Greenville next year. Sure, it'll be good for change, obviously, but I love my life, and changing it now just seems crazy.
snaps for updating twice in one week.
