Scandal Gets More And More Scandalous Each Week...
... and I'm beginning to wonder what more writer Shonda Rimes has in store for us. Tonight's episode, titled Beltway Unbuckled, made me salivate with anticipation.
When season 2 started with the whole hoopla about Quinn's past, I was like "whoa, what a good start to an already great show." And then 3 episodes in, I'm worshiping the ground Shonda Rimes walks on. How does she do it? Continuously coming up with stories like this can't be easy. I mean, she might be running out of inspiration sometime soon right? Wrong!
Imagine my surprise when I saw the last scenes of tonight's episode!! I mean, Olivia's on some secret council with her judge friend, Cyrus, and Mellie of all people!! How is that possible? We already knew that she was involved with Quinn's problem in some way, but this? This totally blows my mind! Just to make sure I wasn't completely making mountains out of molehills, I called my sister to talk about this episode... and she's just as mind-blown as me!
The thought that Mellie and Olivia have a relationship outside of the one with the President makes me think that Mellie is the one who encouraged Olivia to seduce Fitz, to get him under control. That's not completely out of the realm of possibility, is it?
I wonder if there's anyone who watches Scandal on my flist.
