(no subject)
well since I'm having one of those days where I can't really force myself to work anymore, I thought I'd write up a little post.
Work lately blows. My boss just got rid of the last person he hated in October and immediately thereafter decided I was next on the list, so I've pretty much been fighting to keep my job since then. It's really bad because everyone LOVES me, but he hates me. So the other day, after he humiliated me in front of an outside client, I went in to my coworker and she told me I needed to go to HR. I brought in the little file of correspondence of his that I've been keeping and now they want to open up a hostile work environment investigation. I'm hesitant because I'm not sure how it will make anything better for me, and it might make things worse. But at least there is a record with HR of what's going on, and they're on my side.
Kickball just ended. I had such a blast this season! Next season signups are going on already, and the first game for next season is June 28th. I'm definitely in for the next season. I loved everyone on my team without exception and had a blast with our costumes.
I have been going to trivia on Wednesday nights and I love everyone on my team there, too!
I have been hanging out casually with a couple of guys, one I went to college with who recently moved out here, one I met through my best friend Jordan, and a few others who I met here and there. Nothing serious, and nothing that keeps me up at night, but it's just fun to get taken out to dinners and movies and even a movie premiere!
It's funny that it seems my personal life and work life can't really ever coincide and be on an upswing at the same time, but i'm working hard to make that happen!
I'm leaving for Mexico in 3 weeks for my sister's wedding. it will be so nice to have a vacation! And I've been researching for my Australia trip next year. So excited! I will probably fly into Melbourne and then travel up the coast, ending at the Great Barrier Reef. Hoping to somehow manage at least 2 weeks. I promised myself that I would do this trip and stop letting other people's obligations prevent me from doing what I want. Plus, I owe my friend Alice a visit. I can't wait to travel alone :)
Well, I guess that's it for now. Going to trivia tonight and then a Monolators/Handsome Furs show tomorrow night. Friday nights are my chillout nights :)
I found a recipe for molten chocolate cake that looks insane. I will try it out and report back my results. If successful, I will post the recipe.
