Thanks! I've never written about an initial recovery/adjustment period like this before, so I really didn't want to shy away from some of the rougher issues. Even if there was never any danger of Cassie leaving, I thought Kara would be naturally scared about it.

The family feel is something I really wanted to work with. There's a ton of Bat-family fic, but relatively little Super-family fic. I've seen almost no fic with Kara and Conner interacting. And Martha's awesome, but there's almost no fic involving her out there. :(

Hee! I didn't want Oracle to come in immediately, even though I'm sure she was following Kara's case closely. I think she would want Kara to gain her confidence back on her own before she interfered.

Thanks so much for your review. I put a lot of time into this one, so I'm glad you enjoyed it. The ending was probably the part that gave me the most fits - I wound up sort of ending it on a cliffhanger, because one ending would have sort of been a downer and the other felt like a cheat. I wound up being really happy with it overall. :)
