Liana's motorcycle pulled up to the old house where her girlfriend's team made their home. She looked around nervously. She didn't see any other cars, which was a relief. The team leader, Catman, was okay, but the others creeped her out. Deadshot always seemed like he was two seconds away from hitting on you, killing you, or both. The banshee woman seemed to size you up like a piece of meat. Scandal insisted that Bane was harmless, but his overprotectiveness was more than a little intimidating. And the contortionist...his sense of humor left something to be desired. She would gladly put up with them for her girl, but all the same, she was glad to pick up Scandal for a date without their presence. The door was open, so Liana slipped in. Surprising Scandal seemed like a fun idea - but then she remembered that when your girl carried spring-loaded blades on her at all times, jumping on her back for some impromptu snuggling wasn't the best idea. She'd have to settle for announcing her presence and jumping on her the second they saw each other.
"Baby? The door was open, so I let myself - Whoa."
Liana poked her head in the door and saw Scandal hastily shoving what looked like some kind of red costume into the closet.
"Babe! You're early! I thought I would meet you outside! I was just - " Scandal gave the outfit one more shove into the closet, only to have it tumble out in full view. "Crap."
Liana eyed the outfit curiously. It was definitely a superhero outfit of some kind, but not any that she had recognized before. "Ooh. Costume play?"
"No. Although that wouldn't be the worst idea in the world." Scandal grumbled. "I didn't want anyone to see that."
"What's going on, baby? You know I'm pretty hard to shock."
"Of course. You survived meeting my self-appointed father figure, didn't you?" Scandal said, a smirk creeping across her lips. "Don't let this get out, but...you know how the heroes are helping out in Haiti?"
"Yeah? What does that have to do with - oh."
"Pretty much. I couldn't exactly show up there as a wanted fugitive, but I felt like I had to do something. So I cobbled together that costume for whenever I show up to do a shift. It works, and it's not like they're really checking IDs over there right now. I may be one of the so-called bad guys, but this is bigger than some hero-villain pissing contest. "
"Wow." Liana's eyes darted from the costume back to Scandal. "I always knew you were a girl of many secrets, but this isn't one I was betting on."
"It's stupid, I know. But - "
"Stupid? It's anything but stupid." Liana sidled up to Scandal and gave her a long, passionate kiss. "It's not anyone who would put on a costume that awful just to help people."
"It is really bad, isn't it? I don't know how the capes wear that kind of thing every day."
"On the other hand..." Liana licked her lips. "It does accentuate a good figure pretty nicely. Think you'd be willing to model it for me later?"
"You really do have a costume kink, don't you?" Scandal grinned as she kicked the costume back into the closet. Her teammates definitely weren't going to see it anytime soon. They weren't the types to get it. But her girl understood her pretty damn well, and that was all she needed.
