First Kiss Drabble Challenge. I have been struggling to figure out who to pair teen Chris with for weeks now, and it finally hit me. :D
"C'mon, Chris, it'll be fun!"
Chris looked dubiously at Charlie as she pulled him towards the gathering at the TT meeting room.
"I don't know. This game seems strange."
"Duh, that's the fun part! It's really simple. When your turn comes around, you pick truth or dare. If you pick truth, I get to ask you anything I want and you have to be super-honest. If you pick dare, I get to give you any dare I want. And then when my turn comes around, you get to do the same to me!"
"So, any dare?"
"Well, pretty much. Nothing illegal, though." Charlie pouted. "Oracle says if I break into any more secret government facilities, I'm grounded till I turn 18."
"It sounds like it could be fun." Chris scratched his head. "I'm not really used to games like this."
"We can do a round right here before we join the group. How's that? I'll even go first."
"Okay!" Chris grinned. "Truth or dare?"
"Hmm....I'll go truth this round."
Chris thought. "When I showed up at Titans Tower, I saw you staring at me for 10 minutes before I noticed you. Why? I know I'm new, but I didn't know I was that interesting."
"Dang." Charlie felt her cheeks turn red. "You're good at this. It's...well, this is kind of hard to explain. You're cute. Like, really cute, and it's freaky, because you were six a few months ago. But you're definitely not six now, and - "
Chris laughed. "It's okay. I get it. A lot of people have told me that. This new body is...interesting."
"So, you're obviously not six out here anymore, but are you still six...in there?" Charlie tapped her head lightly.
"Not really. My mind was accelerated too. I don't have the experiences someone my age should, but I've still got the mind of a teenager. It's weird."
"That's good to know. Okay, your turn! Truth or dare!"
"Hmm...I'll go dare."
"I was hoping." Charlie grinned. "I dare you to kiss me."
"What?" Chris felt his jaw drop.
"Time to start getting those teenage experiences, flyboy! No time like the present!" Charlie giggled as she bounced up and down slightly.
Nervously, Chris leaned in. He and Charlie drew closer, and exchanged a quick kiss.
"Wow."
"I know, right? This game is fun." Charlie laughed. "And so is kissing."
"Superman was right. There is a lot of fun stuff to do on Earth."
Charlie grinned as she took Chris' hand and they walked into the TT meeting room to join the game. She was hoping she'd get to show Chris a lot of fun things in the future.
