The laptop was contraband. Louis had removed the wireless card, but Adama would have conniptions over it even existing. Louis didn’t care. There was little enough left for them to enjoy. He was keeping this.

Louis sat back in the rack, Felix between his legs, back resting against his chest. He closed the curtains shutting out reality. Louis hugged Felix closer and clicked ‘play’.

They fled into movies with wizards, warriors, unicorns, swords, and magic; where heroes always won; good always prevailed. For two hours each night, they lived in worlds where hope still existed; worlds never touched by Cylons.

This is SO what they'd do on their off time if they had the opportunity. They're such geeks. ;) But really, a world untouched by Cylons, where good always wins out, must have been appealing to anyone in that Fleet. I bet even Tom Zarek would be a secret fan. :D

Yes, they are total geeks and this is exactly what they'd do. I like to imagine the fleet wireless had old fashioned radio shows and they would be like Gaeta & Hoshi's movies - total escapism (and Tom probably liked their version of the Westerns).
