Can't help myself, but the lyrics leave a delicate feeling to me.
Just like the lyrics of the 2nd song on the triple-single, 「open happiness」.
I really like the songs though. Especially 「o.h.」, which always gets me going.
The sound of the third song「monster」is kinda Monkey Majik-unlike, but there's definitely something to it.
I started to like Monkey Majik when they released their second single "around the world". Back then I was living in Tokyo. I was babysitting little S-kun and watched some music TV channel with him, when suddenly the pv to "a.t.w." came on. It was love at first listen.
It felt so different than the Japanese music I had heard up until then.
Also, it was certainly remarkable to see a band with two gaijin in the front.
It's cool to see that young gaijin can escape the life as an ALT after all ^^;
I really envy them for their ability to form meaningful sentences in Japanese. I should study much more myself... but the truth is... I haven't spoken any Japanese since half a year...
Anyway, y'know what's kinda funny? The only thing I knew about the band was that they come from Sendai. Just a couple of seconds ago I checked Mr.google for their names and found out that the two are actually brothers..! (o_O)
