I love it when one gets to a part in a story that one has been looking forward to a long time, it's even more rewarding when people comment favourably on it and as I said in my other comment, that train station scene is made of absolute WIN!
Ahahaha! yeah, I can imagine that about the letters, especially since they'll be mostly all "and then I got up in the morning and ate sweet foods *hint hint nudge nudge* and then I did the accounts and then I walked along the grounds and there were flowers(!!!!!!!!) and then would you believe, I went back inside and ate more sweet cakes(!!!!!!) and read some more and then the night fell and it was very dark as those things are wont to be." XD Ahahahaha, inside my mind Loki is the DULLEST letter writer in the world, because he's trying to be super correct about everything. I have no idea why, but inside my head he's channelling Percy Weasley like woah! XD And yes, I can imagine, I like it this way, because we can all make up our own letters inside our heads and I loved how fiery and wonderfully lovely Thor's letters were. I know waht you mean re long stories, the longest I've ever written is one I just finished and it barely fell short of 80K, crazy timez, I'm telling you!
And yes, a campaign to give the gift-wrapped internetz to Hogun should be started right away, I'd be the first to sign it! :D

My beta told me that Thor's letters are so stimulating so I'm super happy that you see how erotic passionate the letters are. Thor is really good in seducing and he knows it and that's why he write those letters. "Think of me, Loki! Think of me as you read this letter." And Loki totally thinks the way how Thor grips the fountain pen *coughs**coughs* as he wrote the letter. Oh, how provocative that imagination!
And no matter how dull the letters are, Thor would still find them endearing and lovely and probably read those letters every night before he goes to sleep and hears Loki's soft voice in his head as Thor reads them, imagining Loki's voice reading to him a bedtime story as he sorely missed it.
WOW! 80K! Do tell me what fandom are you writing for? I envy those who has the passion to write to that lenght. I always wanted to write something epic-ish long like that but my muse tend to fade fast so that's why once I start writing down the story, I have to keep up the tempo without stopping because once I did, it'd be so hard for me to gather back the bunnies and breed them in my sandbox.

I have fuckloads of notes. Once the reveals are up, I'll make another "work process" post with pictures of my notes and explanations and that's how I managed to continuusly work on that stuff. I used to be the kind of person who would only finish a fic if it was done in one day XD I think the 6 weeks it took to write those 80K show how I've evolved over time XD

Loki is completely and utterly adorable especially when he's being hopelessly infatuated with Thor but trying so damn hard to not let those feeling effect him much! Plus, pretending to keep a piece of Thor (letters!) shows how much his world is basically revolves around his golden Prince.
And the next part!!! I'm having more fun writing it because there is just too many things happen and it will lead to the ending of the story hence, THE SEQUEL! I'm so excited that I'm cursing at RL for taking me away from writing! Damn I have Pharm Chem test tomorrow but I DON'T CARE I STILL GOING TO WRITE FOR ONE MORE HOUR (OR SO)! XD
When I started writing this story, I already planned to write Infinity fic not more than 10k. Even telling my readers and promise to myself that this will be a short story. Heck, it is supposed to be a FREAKIN ONESHOT. But the current word count for now is 17k! I broke my promise and end up breeding more monstrous bunnies for this story! I swear the sequel will be less than 10k!!!

@Loki, yessssss!!!! Exactly! And I love how meticulous he is about it too! Like the letters are probably all folded super neatly and there is not a crease on them, I also imagine Loki sitting there, stroking the paper absentmindedly thinking about how Thor touched this and then suddenly realising what he is doing and pretending to just flatten and straighten them, even though are they are perfectly straight anyway. :D
