Who Stole my Chu? ----------
Gakuto climbed the wall that would let him into the Akutagawa residence. The Akutagawa residence was a large traditional Japanese manor with a splendid Japanese garden that surrounded the mansion. It created a beautiful and comforting surrounding when anyone took a walk around the garden. If it was spring, the cherry blossoms trees would beautify the scene superbly and soothe anyone if they occupied any of the seats under the cherry blossom trees.
Gakuto swept invisible dust off from his shirt and pants before slowly making his way to a semi-dark room. Since the house was a two-story house, Gakuto had to use small pebbles and threw them to the window.
“He better be up or else…” Gakuto growled as his eyes narrowed. He had gone through hardship that night. He tried to call his partner, Yuushi but no one picked up the phone. He tried to call Atobe to ask whether he knew whereabouts of Yuushi but instead was scolded angrily by Atobe, who asked him to call someone else other than him.
Of course, Gakuto knew that he would have no chance if he asked both Shishido and Ohtori to hang out with him that night. Why would that be? Because even if they agreed to it, Gakuto would always feel left out whenever he was stuck with the two boys. They were so close - it was like they were skin and bones. [1]
Hiyoshi was another individual. He would feel left out when he was with that boy too. Hiyoshi Wakashi, with that sort of interesting look and personality, preferred to be alone rather than hanging out with friends. Besides, Gakuto wondered whether that boy ever smiled. It felt creepy to hang out with someone that could not and would not smile at you.
If Kabaji…
Gakuto sighed. That was obvious. Kabaji was like a servant or more like a bodyguard or an under-man for Atobe. Who would want to hang out with a person like Kabaji when he would only take action when Atobe told him to?
Gakuto picked some more pebbles and threw to the window.
Jiroh groaned. He was tired and needed sleep. Who else was bothering him now?! Just few minutes ago, Gakuto had called and complained to him about how cruel the night was, how he was bored to death, and that he needed someone to hang out with him. He pleaded at Jiroh to wake up and go out with him.
Of course, Jiroh just mumbled a ‘no’ to him and with a yawned, he closed his phone and went back to sleep.
The noise from his window was getting louder. The tapping of the stone hitting his window made Jiroh groan in his sleep and forcefully sit up on his bed. He scratched his head and let out another yawn before quickly walking to his window.
He reminded himself to remove the windows from his room. Maybe he should complain about it to his dad.
The light-haired boy pulled the window and it opened when a pebble hit right at his forehead. “Ouch!”
Gakuto winced as soon as he heard Jiroh, who was groaning in pain.
Jiroh clenched his fist then threw his head outside and glared at the red-haired boy. His eyes blinked as soon as he realized that it was Gakuto.
“I’m sorry, Jiroh! Are you alright? I didn’t mean to throw that to your face!” Gakuto apologized to the light-haired boy.
“What are you doing here?” Jiroh asked.
“Didn’t I tell you that I’m coming to pick you up?” Gakuto said with a big hopeful grin plastered on his face.
“Pick me up? For what…?” Jiroh asked, his eyes starting to droop.
“Were you still sleeping when I talked to you over the phone? I told you that we were going to hang out!”
Jiroh stared at his teammate for a while. At first, Gakuto though that Jiroh would have fallen asleep while standing at the window. It took about three minutes before Jiroh shifted from his spot. A reply came. “No.”
“Eh?” Gakuto blinked.
“I said no. Can I go to sleep now?”
Gakuto narrowed his eyes dangerously to Jiroh, who stood firm. “No!”
Gakuto pleaded, “Jiroh, please! Please, pretty please? I’m bored and no one is available to go out with me except you! I needed you!”
Jiroh hushed Gakuto. “Shh… lower down your voice or you’ll wake up my younger siblings.”
Gakuto stomped his left foot to the ground. “I don’t care! I need you now! Jiroh!”
“I said no! I don’t want to!”
“Jiroh! I’ll do anything! I promise you! I’ll even give you a kiss if you do!”
Jiroh glared at Gakuto and told him to hush.
Gakuto wailed even louder, “A-and-I will even shut my mouth if you just please go out with me!”
“Fine! I’ll go out with you now! Just low your volume down!”
Gakuto cried with happiness!
“Meet me in the front door,” Jiroh told the other boy before shutting down his window and going to the restroom to wash his face.
It took few minutes before he met the enthusiastic Gakuto - who could not stop smiling, especially when their eyes caught each other. They stood like that in silence, facing each other with only the sound of mild zephyr caressing the leaves that filled the atmosphere.
Gakuto took Jiroh’s hand. Immediately, the acrobatic player had to stand on his toes and gave a soft but quick peck on Jiroh’s cheek.
The light-haired boy, who happened to be still half-awake, gasped at the unpredicted action. Jiroh gaped. “I- er- wh-”
Gakuto chuckled softly as he gazed fondly at the already awake boy. “Didn’t you pay attention to what I said to you just now? I promised that I would give you a kiss if you went out with me and you did!”
Jiroh managed to say something out but in a hesitated tone, “Erm…aren’t you supposed to…you know, give it…after…”
Gakuto immediately blushed. “Aaa…yes, you right. I supposed to! Aha, sorry! I was so happy that I had to do it!” Gakuto laughed out loudly and then pulled Jiroh by the hand. “C’mon, let’s grab a bite at Chitose Café or somewhere. All the shouting just now made me hungry.”
Jiroh let himself get pulled by the redhead boy. A smiled appeared in his handsome face. After all, he did not think that going out with Gakuto at the time like this would be that bad. Besides, he was looking forward to after this outing. Will Gakuto give him another kiss again? A good night’s kiss, maybe.
OWARI - One-shot: Good Night kiss
----------
A/N: I cannot believe I managed to finish this fic while chatting to my classmate, Rowena. We were talking about our life in the year 2006 where we have to face big changes in our school-life. All the very-genius students in my class transferred to another school and more scary subjects to deal with. I bet everyone next year would be fighting like crazy for the top 1 (except me) student. Sigh, it is hard to be an elite student who stuck in an elite class with other elite students. All the crazy teachers expected more from all of us again… of cos, competition started to happen here and there and it is SCARY! I wished I could change to another school where I could relax!
Anyway, have a MERRY XMAS AND an early HAPPY NEW YEAR 2006 greeting TO EVERYONE! LOVE YOU GUYS! CHU!
[1] The phrases are wrong but I put it in a way Gakuto would think.
Note: I do not know whatsoever about Jiroh’s house. I only watched the anime and I am not sure if it did showed Jiroh's house in the manga.
