.... whoa! just got back from the student union where local graffiti artists Product2 and TRON (and friends) were exhibiting some of the cream of their efforts. The 'film noir' video projections of the crew lightening up derelict houses and mental institutions (as well as some skating) put a flame to the leaky gas pipe that is my soul. There also was a gallery (canvasses and slides of huge rooftop flyposters and stencils), and loads of posters around the place, as well as some smart screen printed tablecloths with Haynes-manual-esque graphics (always a winner!) and propaganda about running cars on vegetable oil. DJ's blasted out drum n bass, disco-hip-hop-funk and garage/breakbeat. The union was also abnormally rammed, and open later than normal. For once it felt like an event, not a half arsed Monday night with a bar, crap DJ and sound system.
