Had a doctor's appt. this morning which went swimmingly, as usual. Now I have to go every two weeks - this means we're getting close to the end. Very exciting. I'm getting into a "nesting" phase. Cleaning like a mad woman, throwing everything out, organizing wildly. It's all very comforting.
Dr. Singh reminded me of something today. I was asking her about what to expect from one of her "routine deliveries" because I had a delivery that I really liked with Kit and basically want to duplicate it, if possible. She reminded me that I can have an epidural *whenever I want* during delivery. With Kit, I stayed home for as long as I could and was very "uncomfortable", to put it mildly, by the time we reached the hospital. I really dislike hospitals, so I'll still probably try to stay home for as long as I can (barring water breakage or surprises) but it's nice to know that if I want, I can stroll over to the hospital and do the vast majority of my labor pain-free. Huzzah for modern medicine. :)
