One month!

Tomorrow/today, July 25th is my 1 month meet-a-versary/smooch-a-versary with Chris! I can't believe it, what a most wonderful month!

He's been coming over every weekend and staying from Friday night through Sunday and then I go to PA on Monday or Tuesday to meet up with him in a park to sit and talk or to go drive around. It's been really hot, so we haven't done a ton of adventuring, but we did a bit.

This past Tuesday we met at a different park than usual. It was the site of a former girls school, but now abandoned. Lots of the buildings remain and most are boarded up but there are a number of them that you can walk right into. There's no security there, or at least not while we roamed around for a couple of hours just taking pictures of everything. I had the idea of taking moss (from any place that we explore that has moss) and making a terrarium from each of our adventures. I think that would be cool. They could just be tiny little terrariums, they'd be cute little souveniers.

Chris is the kind of love that makes me want souveniers and mementos. I want to make a scrapbook or something, I'm so hokey. But right from the beginning we started making Us Lists, which are all the things we want to do together. Little things like going to car shows or making the perfect cheesecake to big big things like going to Japan. I saved our tickets to the aquarium and some receipts for the first time we had Krispy Kreme together (haha, we're addicted!) and a sticker from Rocket Fizz, where we bought some gourmet sodas, but really I don't have much to put in there yet, so for now I just have a box that I will put things in until it kind of makes more sense!

I'm so so so so so in love with him. It feels safe and warm and bouncing back and forth between us, like we're lighting each other up. I told you I'm hokey, but it really feels like that to me! haha.

Earlier tonight I mentioned that tomorrow would be our 1 month meet-a-versary and he said 'We should celebrate!' and then said he's looking forward to many more months together, INFINITY months! Eeeee.

We had Red Lobster biscuits tonight, celebrating tomorrow (in honor of our first picnic) just a little bit early. They were the make at home kind, which were pretty decent and easy to make. I still prefer going to RL and having the real deal, because it's so cheap to just buy 6 or 12 that you can just eat beautifully and deliciously, oh, and immediately, which is definitely a part of the beauty.

This morning he made us ALL breakfast. French toast and bacon. I've never had french toast and IT IS SO GOOD and I can't believe I was a FT Virg til this morning!

And for documentarian purposes:

Friday: He had dinner with his family because it was his dad's birthday. Then he came over. I was hungry and he was still hungry, too, so I made us bow tie pasta. It was good. We had gelato for dessert. We have gelato every day, but this was the worst one. Not bad by itself but definitely very bland compared to our previous entries.

Saturday: Went to Monica & Albert's yard sale. Chris spotted an AMPEG speaker cabinet and he collects them, so he was stooooked on it. Albert sold it to him for $80. Tonight when he loaded it into his car, his lovely, beautiful, gorgeous face just lit up, he was so excited. I realized tonight that I haven't seen him get super excited over a tangible thing yet, so it was a little bit heartwarming. It was nice to see such joy. He's such a joyful person, I really lucked out. He told me early on that he's all about art, music, creativity and positivity. These things are confirmed, he is. POSITIVITY!! It's amazing.

Anyway, also on Saturday, we got into our new inflatable pool. It was excellent, considering it was about 98 degrees. I stayed in for about an hour and a half. So refreshing. Later we got dressed and were gonna head to the grocery store to get supplies for grilled cheese. Just as we were getting ready to head out, a huge storm blew in. I never mind about getting wet, so we ran out to the van. As we were sitting there, the wind gusted so hard the van shook. The rain was as fast and furious as if you were in a car wash. We hung out in the driveway to make sure everything was cool and not too scary. I saw a branch just fall right off of a tree at a neighbor's house, but nothing else major happened near us.

I want to type more but I am falling asleeeeep as I type this. I need to catch some ZZZZs.
