It got stupid hot in our apartment yesterday. We don't have a/c. We do have a couple of window fans and there's a ceiling fan in each room, but when the temps are 90+ for 2 days in a row, it gets sticky no matter what. One time this woman came into Amy's office, and her license was from like 1967, and she was gorgeously young and had this gigantic platinum beehive! I don't even remember if she HAD a valid ID, but she told Amy she was NEVER getting another license. I told her that was exactly how I felt about my current license, which was totally out of date (like four years). Some of us are just crazy.

At the rental place I worked at, they didn't care if you painted - usually that's a sign of a good tenant that will settle down and stay awhile.

As long as you didn't paint a dark color that needed a basecoat of Kilz to cover it (or left the walls so dirty they needed the Kilz anyway, which would happen a lot because people are super dirty). Basically they have to paint when you move out, anyway, so they were pretty mellow about paint - they were WAY more concerned about carpets being shat on (this happened!)

I just re-read the lease today and it said you can only paint with written permission from the leasing office. It said if you make any changes (paint was one) that they can make you undo it ( ... )
