TANGLED
I won free advance tickets to see Tangled the other day and I finally got to see it this morning (in 3D!) and HEY it was surprisingly sweet!
I'm still not in love with the fact that it was computer animated, but it was really well-made. I would have preferred if they had done it in traditional 2D animation like The Princess and the Frog because look at how cute the concept art is!

So pretty, right? Kinda makes me wish I could draw well. Well, the CGI isn't terrible at all and I got used to it throughout. It just weirded me out whenever they had close-ups of Rapunzel's face because her eyes take up half her head lol. That kind of thing doesn't look as strange to me in the concept art, but in CGI, they look MASSIVE.
The story is actually way better than The Princess and the Frog (I loved the parts in that movie where she got to be human, but whyyyyyyy did she have to a frog for 2/3 of it? Blah!) and it's not as obnoxious as the trailers and teasers make it out to be. I did go in with pretty low expectations because of the trailers, but I really enjoyed it. The main characters were cute and funny, the songs were decent, the chameleon was adorable and the villain was pretty great. The scene with the floating lanterns is also every bit as beautiful as it looks in the concept art, so hopefully that will please a lot of people who were already excited for this movie.
IDK I JUST ENJOYED IT and now that I've seen it, I am free to get super super excited about seeing Harry Potter 7 at miiiiidniiiiiiiight in IIIIIIIIMAAAAAAAAX. I'M GONNA NERD IT UP.
