prompt #33

Jan 04, 2010 00:51

Today's prompt involves a fic writing challenge.

Designed as a jumping-off point for parents to discuss drug use with their children, the “Sound Advice Project” converts
voice recordings into bracelets with rings representing the waveform of a parent’s recorded admonishment. They’re $18.

PROMPT CHALLENGE:

This week I am offering up an active writing challenge based on the information above.

I want you to write about one idol receiving a bracelet with a voice recording, from another idol (or group of idols).

Some questions you may want to consider when drafting your entry:

(Please note, it is not compulsory to include these ideas in your text- they are just food for thought.)

- Are the idols involved from the same group, or different ones? Perhaps one or both of the idols are solo performers.

- Does the bracelet hold multiple messages, or just one?

- Can the idol who is given the bracelet access the message, if so, what do they do with it? What do they find out?

- Will the message(s) on the bracelet be revealed to the reader? Or, will only clues be given?

- Who invented the bracelet? What is their vested interest?

- Will this story involve the context of the idol’s actual reality, or will it be AU? Will it be set in the past, present or future?

OTHER INFORMATION:

This prompt is completely available to be interpreted on it’s own and written about in isolation to the writing challenge. Please feel free to post those stories also!

We encourage any members who would like to cross post this information. Our aim is to see how many ideas we can come up with, and make this project as expandable and versatile for all the writers involved.
