Hello! Welcome back to the Velvet legacy. In the last update Valentino got heat stroke, Ozzy's harem flourished, Noir made a lot of problems, then everyone ate some crepes and went home. The end.
Welcome to the start of gen 3! A reminder that all the rules for the challenge I'm doing are here but the rules for this generation are as follows:

Uh-oh, looks like nobody did their homework last gen and left it all laying on the ground. That doesn’t matter much though because per the rules, it’s time to move to a new house!
A slightly bigger new house with room for the toy dog Maria wanted; I've named him Coconut Latte :3c
And I made sure to place a bowl outside for Pluto since he still refuses to eat inside for some reason
But you're probably wondering who I picked as heir for gen 3...
It’s Finn! I was really struggling to pick between him and Reki because I love them both, but ultimately I decided I like Finn a bit more. I really did not want to do double heirs again so congrats Finn!
And actually if Gabby was eligible I would have picked her because she's my favorite ╮ (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.) ╭
Maria: Hrmph. And I have finally mastered the art of chess
Yeah, yeah, Maria, whatever
I think Finn's happy to be back so he can play with Logo again 🥺
But, as expected, he was unable to find a job in the career he wanted today
Geneva: Oh man, this place even has a hot tub this is great!
She also brought this very sad looking dog with her who I would have adopted if we didn't have enough already

The lot wasn't quite big enough for a greenhouse so Finn gets to make use of the little planter pots now too

Even if she's old now and has a new arch nemesis who is a llama, Taffy still has some studying to do
And since Finn & Geneva also have a lot of studying to do I’m going to take pictures of these messages as proof they’ve completed the misc bookcase skills and pics of the memories for the other skills

I wanna try and use career rewards more often in this legacy but thanks to Jane and Taffy that now means I have two weird speech podiums to find something to do with

On the bright side Finn was finally able to find his job

Her LTW was to do the slacker career and even though she can't reach the top I figured it was fate
I can't believe it took me this long in the update to take a picture but Cherry did also make the move safely! She and Geneva have become buds real fast

The only problem with Coconut Latte is he’s the same color as the flooring so despite the massive fucking cage he lives in I sometimes forget he’s there
Luckily Finn comes to the rescue yet again

Maria also can't seem to catch a break around here- it didn't take very long for someone to break something

I thought big dogs and small dogs weren't able to breed but I guess I was wrong...
Well. I didn’t think about the repercussions of welcoming new puppies into the house around the same time we welcome a new human baby

After a relatively shaky delivery, we've been granted with this little nugget- Sprig. He got Spike's eyes!

This man is now a FATHER
Since apparently Taffy's working again we don't have anyone else to be home with baby Sprig all day and Cashew didn't care for employment much anyways, so he gets to retire
Cashew: Perfect, now I have even MORE time to fawn over all my pets

What's everyone so shocked and disturbed by, you ask?
Cashew, of course! He still hasn't figured out how to put on pants despite being like a hundred years old

Taffy: I just wanted to read this book
The contrast between these two will never not delight me
Now that Maria's finally reached the top of her career she doesn't have a lot else to do so she can focus more on her mechanical hobby
Cashew: Don't worry, babe, I'll cheer you on with an empowering speech from back here

Cashew: The only problem is I don't know anything about giving a speech

I'm kind of late with this one again! It's about half an hour until midnight right now. I got my first covid shot earlier today and I ended up getting really sleepy and fell asleep for 5 hours 💀 I'm usually pretty sleepy anyways though so I'm not sure I can blame it all on the vaccine. Other than that I feel pretty good so far! Other than the fact that my arm hurts like a bitch. I guess I'll see how I feel when I get up tomorrow morning. I know for most people the second dose is the worse one so I can't say I'm especially looking forward to it asjksks
I hope you're enjoying gen 3 so far! I know it's only the first update but I think it's gotten a pretty good start so far. I'm going to put all of gen 3 up for download after this so if you want any of the rascals in your game go for it
