all seems awesome. congrats dude :] you look great. Honestly I would recommend against grad school. Not only is the job market awful and just getting worse, but it is virtually non-existent for people like us who are into queer theory/WGS and other minority fields. You can actually probably study better on your own or with non-collegiate affiliated study groups, etc. and be just as educated without sacrificing your entire life and economic future to school and "the academy"- whose institutional misogyny/racism/homophobia are just more prevalent to me every day as it is still sadly the ivory tower - literally the giant white heteronormative phallus that ultimately still controls everything despite appearances.
As someone 4 years into it with a shit ton of graduate loans I wouldn't have done it if I knew then what I know now. Now if I do want a decent job I will likely have to go to a Christian college in the middle of fuckin nowhere and teach old dead white guy literature survey classes instead of what I actually study or want to teach. (Which is what all of my post-grad colleagues have had to do after waiting around for 4+ years ceaselessly applying for these positions)
