It's week two of my declaration of war on my belly fat, and so far nothing has happened, since I have been jet lagged, sick, and don't seem to have lost any belly fat at all. But I've had some yummy green smoothies in the process, plus I am very close to having all the materials I need to make green smoothie roll-ups and homemade almond milk.
Btw, it's a tough slog to find anything useful on practical questions like: which is more unsafe, silicone or teflon or similar PTFEs (which have trace amounts of PFOAs)? Should I give up and use parchment paper? Where can I find parchment paper that is NOT coated with PTFEs Even reformulated teflon? Where can one go to buy industrial-sized pieces of silicone to cut up for dehydrator use? Etc.
Then Excal's site rejects its own coupon... I read about bad edges making Paraflexx kinda nasty and perhaps moldy after a while. But the silicone version apparently doesn't work as well and has a foul odor. And the only rival that seemed legit at all got de-listed on Amazon after a surge of failure-to-ships and a mysterious "news" item about how they fixed the edges via flame. (Is that good for teflon? I think not.)
Bah, parchment paper is looking pretty good right about now.
