I had been having doubts lately about whether or not being a Psychology major with a Spanish minor would look good enough on a resume. Okay, stop right there. First of all, I started thinking about this during the year, I'm not just inventing stressors now that the summer has started. Second of all, I don't do things so that they'll "look good," I do things because I like them. But I do recognize that the resume IS kind of important.
For a while I thought of double majoring with Communication, but when it came down to it, I wanted to have room for electives, I really didn't ever want to have to take more than four classes per semester (I stress enough about what I have!) and I still wanted to be able to go to Spain for a semester and minor in Spanish. AND I want to write for the paper, be in clubs AND have a life! After all, what IS college if all you're doing is taking classes all the time?!
So last night I had a breakthrough. We have this major that's kind of sciency and pretty demanding, which is why I never thought I would be interested. BUT I realized last night that to minor in it, I wouldn't even have to take any classes in addition to my Psych major, I'd just have to make the right course choices within the Psych major! It's brilliant! I'll still be able to minor in Spanish AND go abroad, and I can even minor in something else if I want to! Just brilliant!
Now I just have to decide if anyone's even going to care that I have another random minor...hmm...
I'm going home tomorrow. How do I feel about that? I'm going to miss this city...
