Today I woke up and the fight was over, my mild embarrassment had subsided, and my worry about my dad had vanished with sleep. All was well with time, exactly as I had suspected it would be.
So my mom and I went shopping. It took us fifteen minutes to find me the perfect bathing suit (when does that EVER happen?!) and it was super on-sale. Then I bought myself a digital camera. I'm pleased.
Work was good, no major screw-ups or anxiety attacks. There was, however, major foot/pack/head pain, which would have forced me immediately into bed afterwards had it not been for a group gathering which was to occur after work at Bennigan's. As much as I wanted sleep, I figured that this would be the best opportunity to start seeing these people (and making friends, maybe??) outside of work, considering so many of them would be there that I would have at least some chance of avoiding awkwardness. Three hours later, I'm pretty happy I went. Apparently I won the vote as the event's hottest girl (ahhh!!), *Eric* got really drunk and made me his girlfriend, and I got to wear my new black shirt. How's that for a fun night?
I can already tell, though, that being nineteen is going to make things a little difficult for future outings...
