Assalammualaikum and halliou everyone!
These few days something is calling me to write here about how I was reminded on the two deeds that you can never get tired of:
1) Never get tired of reciting the Qur'an
2) Never get tired of remembering Allah - as in doing dhikr...
I resumed my podcast of Seerah Prophet Muhammad by Sh. Yasir Qadhi after a month and that's what I get reminded of, isn't it fascinating? Allah's plan to his slaves is? And it's from one of the earliest sermon by the Prophet ﷺ.
At the same time, I was also reading Befriending the Qur'an by Ayesha Syahira and the same thing happened. Again, I was reminded to spend more time with Allah, because Allah loves those who make time for Him, and how I should make the Qur'an as my BFF so that the Qur'an can be my witness and vouch for me on the Judgment Day.
I feel so touched by these consistent reminders, so I renew my intention - as much as I spend my time on the entertainment, I must make more time for Allah and my deen.
Apart from that, I also happen to come across a tweet about tahajjud. Roughly it says how tahajjud is for people who gets invited only, so the OP said she's gonna force herself to be invited. What an effort right? If she can do it, why don't I?
Another thing about tahajjud, in the same Sh
Yasir's podcast, I was reminded that tahajjud is not just done after sleeping a little, as in the third part of the night although it is the recommended act. Any prayer after the isya' is considered as a tahajjud or a night prayer or the qiyamullail. So, I was thinking, what's stopping me to step up a lil bit, to get closer to Allah right? I believe in taking one step towards Allah, and Allah will take care of the rest for you.
After all these reminders given from Allah to me, I'll be a fool if I don't act on it. So yeah, I'm starting anew. Little steps, bit by bit, May Allah eases everything and be with me for every second through the journey. Aamiin.
