Hi guys! Remember me? I got permission from super fabulous inmyheadx2 to do a weekly Army Wives discussion post. It's Tuesday, but I figured since we're three episodes in, a couple of days late couldn't hurt, right? Besides, I'm itching to talk about it.

WARNING: This post discusses the newest episode of the hit Lifetime TV series, Army Wives. If you are ( Read more... )

I loved that Finn's imaginary friend was also there for Claudia Joy. When he first appeared outside the church I thought he was going to be an angel, but I liked the imaginary friend slant a lot better.

Has Pamela gotten a new radio show? Since the season started she's been doing emotional talk shows, which wasn't what she was hired to do... did I miss somewhere that she has a new thing going on, or did they just stick that in there to be a narrative for the episodes?

In the last couple of episodes of season one, we see a super-stressed Pamela driving into the PX parking lot, only to be cut off by a guy who does NOT look military. She goes off, and he asks her her name. The next day, she greets him in uniform and he tells her to meet him at the post radio station. When she gets there, he said she has a big mouth and wants to offer her an unpaid position to be on-air. She haggled him a bit, got herself some pay, and day-care and food benefits.

So that's why she's sort of been narrorating. She's been doing it for, oh, probably four of five episodes now, including the newest three.

I like the imaginary friend slant too :)

Oh I know she had the old radio program. But that one was more about ranting and getting call in ideas for improving life for wives on post. Her new program is all talk and much more touchy feel-y. I was wondering if the whole slant of her program has changed to give the writers of the show a way to narrate, or will she go back to her old program eventually? Anyone know?

I think the this seasons' radio shows started with the hump bar boombing. I can imagine that something that big happening on post would be the talk of the town. I'm pretty sure she'll lighten up some as time goes on, unless another crazy tragedy happens.

Oh, okay! Sorry, lol. You're right, it did used to be kind of a take-no-shit show from anybody, but I think she started getting more emotional and .. I don't want to say preachy, but, personal, I guess, after the Hump Bar bombing, especially because she feels partly responsible for Marilyn's death.

I hope she goes back to the old program, though - that one was much better!
