Promotion!
J has been in the Army for an entire year on the 20th of this month. That was when he was supposed to make PFC (E-3). I got an email this morning. His Sgt decided since he has been busting ass since joining his unit a couple of months ago, he was going to have him promoted early!
I am so excited for him! He sees it more of a "Oh thank god. Now I am not the only E2 in my company." He feels PFC is not a huge deal, because it counts as pretty much an automatic promotion. Although I feel getting it early counts for something.
I would still like to do something nice for him.
Any ideas?
