Adopt A Marine

Hey all, just thought I'd pimp the program...

A lot of people know about adoptasoldier.org and anysoldier.org but not many seem to know about Ryan Rust's Adopt A Marine program. There are still a LOT of Marines signed up for and signing up for help through this organization every day.

Today they sent out a plea for us to ask for more volunteers. Now that the Christmas season has come and past there are less and less people signing up to adopt these guys, but they are still over there fighting!

So, yea, this is me pimping the program. If you'd ever thought about signing up for one of these programs, now's the time for this particular one. They are in desperate need of help and support. Anything you send would be appreciated, and more than they're getting now :) You don't need to send extravagant packages or spend tonnes of money on gifts for them... a card and some beef jerky is sometimes all I can afford to send!

Well, anyway, if you're interested, here is the link to the site: This Link will take you to the form to fill out in order to adopt a Marine, and also provides some information about the program. They're very personal and they give you a call when you initially sign up and talk to you a bit about what to send, and things like that (just like with soldier's angels.) They've been very helpful to me, and never overbearing when asking for much needed help for these Marines.

They're not a charity, they're a race team (like cars and whatever, lol) and they don't accept donations - just addresses of deployed Marines, and connecting them with citizens who wish to help.

Ok, done gabbing :)
