Faith sat on the porch smoking cigarettes, and bouncing a blue rubber ball, enjoying the noise it made hitting the step below her. She wasn't in the best of moods, but the thwap it made was satisfying.

Sitting next to her was a small radio/cd player.

Fujiko wandered by on her way to the carriage house.

"Well, hey, you. Long time, no see."

Faith nodded. "What's up?"

"The opposite of down?"

Faith nodded. "Pretty much."

Ivanova approached from across the law, hesitating a bit when she saw Faith. Why did she feel guilty? But she put on a smile and went the rest of the way. "Hey."

Faith looked up, and her mouth smiled. "Hey."

Ivanova frowned a little, sitting next to her. "Hey, Faith, what's up?"

"I watch the news." Faith began bouncing her ball again. She quickly swiped at her face.

Weevil was out and about and spotted people on the porch.

"Hey," he said.

Faith swallowed. "Hey."

Weevil tried not to think of how this might be awkward. "You doin' good?"

"As can be expected." She held out her hand for a "pound".
