"Hey, Lana," Meg said instead, just as she threw her knife again.

"I'm not sure that's the smartest thing to be doing just now," Lana said with a little smile.

Meg shrugged. "Seemed like a good idea at the time."

"I'm sure we could find a better way for you to work off - whatever it is," Lana said, "instead of one that's going to have Dean and Sam trying to wrap you up in bubble wrap."

"Pfft. I haven't seen Dean since his birthday and I don't think he's exactly jumping at the chance to see me either," she commented, retrieving her knife from the tree.

Um. Meg was in a mood.

"You didn't see him at the wedding?" Lana asked.

"I saw him, but that was the extent of it," she told her, and made a small sound when she threw her knife again.

"You want to come back to the cottage, keep me company for a while?" Lana suggested.

"You are making me a little nervous," Lana admitted. "but if it was just that I'm sure I could come up with another way to get you to stop."

She shrugged. "You're my friend, I haven't seen you in forever, and I miss you."

"I'm fat, ugly, and I want a beer so bad, Lana. I haven't been out much," she said, shifting from one foot to the next. "I'm totally aggravated and I don't know how to make it go away."

"You're having a baby, you're beautiful, and maybe we can find you something vaguely beer-like that still is non-alcoholic," Lana said gently. "And maybe if you talk to someone you might feel less aggravated?"

Meg kicked a stone. "Everyone thinks pregnant women are beautiful. Even me. But I have to go to the bathroom all time, I'm exhausting Sam I think, and Dean makes me think he hates me." She totally did not pout. "Something beer-like sounds gross."

She kicked another stone.

"But... maybe I could hang with you for a little while."

"Virgin margaritas?" Lana suggested with a smile. "And I'd love it if you came to hang with me."

She sighed super dramatically knowing she didn't look or sound like a very mature pregnant woman.

"I'm... sweaty."
