The kitchen staff wanted to make fruitcake, but he put his foot down on that. There was, however, plum pudding.
Sam, for his part, was a little distracted. He was worried about Meg and how her parents were taking the whole pregnancy thing. It was a little troubling that she hadn't called, but he was going on the theory that no news was good news.
