John wheeled in front of the entrance to Storefront Apartments. His expression betrayed no discernible bias towards approval or disapproval. If anything, his expression betrayed vague sense of pessimism. He was no stranger to moving and moving frequently for the sake of a fresh start, but his track record on such things was dismal. For as much good as he had heard about this place, he remained skeptical.
Still, a scant bit of hope was better than nothing, so there he sat in his wheelchair, bags at his side, talking himself into taking the next step--entering the building.
