Faith nodded. "Good for you. Homicide of employers isn't a good way to stay employed." She took another sip of beer. "Not a good way to stay out of jail, either." She grinned.
Faith shook her head. "Not even for a slayer. Trust me, I tried in the beginning. After awhile, I just kind of accepted it. After all, I did do something that I needed to be punished for. I killed an innocent man."
Faith lit another cigarette, and took a swig of her beer. Somehow she didn't think this was going to go well.
Faith looked at Callisto. What was she playing at? "Whatcha mean, Cal?" She took a drag of her cigarette, and finished her beer, dropping the empty in the cooler and extracting a fresh one.
"Well it is by the standards of this day and age, Cal."
Faith cracked open her beer, took a swallow, and said, "and to me, too. You're one life. Your mom is one life. If it was you, or her? It deserves punishment."
