Dante was seated behind the counter. Nothing too interesting happening today. After his unsuccessful venture out into the town that was Milieux, Dante wasn't feeling very sociable. Hopefully today could be a simple, if not quiet day ( Read more... )

Screwtape opened the door to the shop and stepped in.

He stood there for a moment and looked around, as if evaluating the place.

Dante turned to look at the man, he leaned over the counter, "Can I help you?"

Screwtape didn't answer right away, he continued looking around the store for a bit ignoring the question.

He concluded that the shop must be a very dull, soul crushing sort of place to spend one's day.

He decided that he approved. Very much so.

He grinned at the young man behind the counter.

"Do you have any cheese?"

Dante tilted his head, "Uhhh, no. We are open to suggestions however. Is there a particular type you would like us to carry?"

Dante fell into deep thought, "Hmm...ah" He rooted around into his small file drawer and pulled out a small book. He flipped through a couple pages, "Ah, I can get my hands on some, but it will take some time." Dante took a note of the handling conditions, "And we can store it, though not on display, you'll have to ask about it. Ok?"

Screwtape grinned the grin of a cat contemplating an unbalanced aquarium.

"Certainly." He said. "My goodness where are my manners. You're new in town aren't you?"

Dante nodded, and relaxed a little, "Indeed I am sir. Got in just this week. I'm the owner of this establishment. Just got the name changed."

Dante laughed and shook his head, "No, the name of the store changed. It was previously Nook'n'Go."

"I'm aware of its previous name sir, what I'm trying to discern is your own name." Screwtape said suddenly becoming dour.

Dante reddened slightly, "My...uh...deepest apologies, My name is Dante Hicks and you are?"

Dante snapped straight, "Mayor?! I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were the mayor."

Inwardly, Screwtape was amused by Dante's reaction...

"I suppose I should wear a badge or something..." He mused. "Dante... A very ironic under the circumstances interesting name..."
