"I'm sorry to hear that." Rick plowed through the uncomfortable silence, "Do you know Evelyn Carnahan? She's my fiance, she only got here a little while ago. She teaches at the local school."
Rick nodded, "Ah, I see. And you just couldn't use a shotgun and some ammunition to get em off, huh?" Rick shook his head, "I had people on my ass long time ago, got nabbed and thrown into a desert prison for a couple years. None too thrilling, hope they got off."
"Well, it's on hold, but I was going to start doing the excavation and archealogical thing with Evelyn, she's a history buff. Rose an army of mummies with the book of the dead, came in saved the day, wasn't exactly her fault, but we fixed the situation. Everyone is safe, so hey, no harm, no foul."
Whether or not Rick approached the large muscled man with a glowy eye and metal arm was another thing.
