Ben and Riley's Room, Thursday Night
Riley and Ben were bored.
This town was boring. The school was boring. They really wanted to get out of here.
And Ben had a plan.
Currently, Riley was hacking into some bank records and transferring funds to an untraceable account that he had managed to open.
"So, do you think that a million will do it for now?" he asked.
Ben looked up from where he was going over few last minute preparations. "A million should be enough for now."
"And what are we going to do when that runs out?" Riley wasn't clear on what exactly Ben's plans were, so he had no idea how long a million dollars might last.
"We'll get more." It seemed simple enough to him. He zipped his bag shut. "You and I can make that last plenty long enough."
"Okay, you're the brains," Riley said. "I'm just the tech guy."
Ben grinned. "How much trouble do you think you'll get into with your family when they find out you've flown the coop?"
Riley shrugged. "My mom will probably be glad she doesn't have to worry about me anymore."
"Thus we are rescuing you from a life of boredom and lackluster guidance to embark on a great adventure."
"Well, what are we waiting for?"
"Did you say goodbye to your friend?" Ben had made his goodbyes to the important things already. You know, like the bar... the library... the bar.
"There was no one I really felt the need to say goodbye to," Riley said. He had written a letter to Savannah, but she wouldn't get that until he was gone.
Ben nodded and grabbed his bag. "All right then. Let's get out of here."
