Feeling bad that she didn't open the place up yesterday, Pippi came in tonight to lend a hand to the NPC bartender.

The bar was already open, so she helped the band warm up...

Jake hadn't really done much 'going out' since he'd been here. Might as well start now with the only place in town.... Or, the only one he didn't work at, anyway.

He leaned onto the bar, and shot a hopeful grin at Pippi. "You the sort of bar that cards?" Well, at least he's honest about his attempts to avoid alcohol laws. That's something.

Pippi puts down a pilsner glass of a lovely golden liquid with several strands of tiny bubbles undulating in the reflected light.

"Oh yes. Things have been a little dull around here though... I'm thinking about whisking my boyfriend away to the city for a few days one of these weekends. How about you?"

"Pretty good, I guess. Dunno about the dull, so much... " Jake shrugged. Well, one of his teachers getting attacked by invisible people was pretty damn un-dull.

"Heading out of town for a little while, definitely a recipe for winding things up a bit, though. Gotta agree with that."

"Well, okay... Yes." Pippi nodded. "That was no fun. I kinda figured something was up when I noticed both Cole and Anders hanging out at class. But Phoebe isn't the Demonology teacher for nothing. I'm sure she's got that sorted out by now." Pippi said because class hasn't happened yet at this point

"Not really..." Jake admitted. "I mean, I passed through before I came here, but spent the most of my time kinda outside the city, even then."

"It's not like other cities... Least, not like other American cities... I think it's more European... Well, no, that's not quite right either... More like a very large village then a city I'd say. I don't feel so penned in by New Orleans as I do by... say New York."

Jake hummed in thought. These days, he was definitely not the type to like the idea of being hemmed in by buildings in cities.

"I'll take your recommendation," he said. "Give the place a go, at least."
