It was warmer here than in Cascade and Jim was feeling a bit twitchy just sitting around. It was definitely quieter here than in the city, in more ways than one.
He headed away from the motel on foot, dark jacket and gloves making him look a little like he was planning on committing some light felonies. He broke into a jog, solid regular rhythm, ignoring his breath steaming in the air.
