The Park - Friday Afternoon

Veronica had wanted to unpack and get the house clean before she had to start work and it was impossible to get that done with Lilly in the house. Lilly had wanted to "help" her mommy unpack but was more trouble than it was worth. So Veronica told Dick to make himself useful and take their daughter to the park. Not that he had a problem with taking

Jack was making a quick swing through the park, just to be sure there were no lingering faries traces of yesterday's strange weather.

He paused, chuckling when he heard Lilly's young voice and saw her playing with her father.

Dick waved at Jack when he spotted him.

"HI JACK!"

Lilly was raised by Veronica Mars. She didn't miss anything.

Jack smiled and waved to the pair of them, his smile turning into a laugh when he heard Lilly.

"Hello, Lilly! Hello, Lilly's father," he called over, since he hadn't gotten a formal introduction to Dick yet.

"I'm Dick," he called back. "Sorry I didn't really get a chance to talk yesterday."

"Mommy's unpacking my art stuff!" Lilly informed Jack.

"Captain Jack Harkness," Jack introduced himself, stepping over towards the pair and extending his hand to Dick. "You all looked pretty busy yesterday, I didn't want to get underfoot."

He smiled then to Lilly.

"Is she? Wonderfully, I'm looking forward to my lesson."

Dick shook Jack's hand. "Yeah, yesterday was crazy. Veronica's finishing unpacking now while I'm with Lilly."

"I think I got the tougher job," he joked.
