The Gazebo, Late Wednesday Evening, 10-31-07

Sousuke was perfectly content to carry Kaname from All Souls, ignoring the slight strain it put on his shoulder. It wouldn't do any real harm, and he liked holding her. He finally set her down, as they neared the gazebo, but kept hold of her hand.

Kaname had recovered from her shell shock somewhere around halfway to the park but it wasn't until she was set down that she demanded, blushing in earnest, "What was that for?! What in the world has gotten into you?"

The interrogation wasn't as angry as it might have been. Truth be told, it was kind of nice to see the boy taking some initiative for once, but that didn't mean that he didn't still confuse the hell out of her.

Sousuke stared at her in that unnervingly intent way he had for a long moment, before looking away. "I just wanted... to..." He murmured, trailing off. He looked back at her for a moment before he leaned in and kissed her.

Oh. That look. Kaname's heart began to beat a little faster despite herself and she licked her lips nervously.

Whatever she had been expecting then it hadn't been for him to kiss her because that was a definite squeak of surprise she made when he leaned to do so. She stared wide-eyed for a moment and then her eyelids fluttered shut, as she returned the kiss tentatively.

From the enthusiasm he was putting into it, she could probably guess he'd been wanting to kiss her for awhile. And he had. He just wasn't comfortable doing this sort of thing where anyone might see them.
